Baseball Players Are Dads Too, Jerk.

Yesterday, on NPR’s All Things Considered, Rob Neyer (National Baseball Editor, Sports Blog Nation) is interviewed for his perspective on the “controversy” surrounding Texas Ranger pitcher Colby Lewis, who dared to take a one day paternity leave for the birth of his child this month.  Rob Neyer shares the belief that Lewis should have played the baseball game instead of being present for the first moment of his child’s life.

Pretty much everything about this upsets me.

Texas Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis makes his return from paternity leave on Tuesday. He, and the Rangers, lost that night to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, 15-4.
